Tentative Agreement Reached

On Thursday, August 18, 2016, after 16 months of bargaining, the negotiating teams of the AAUP-UC and Utica College administration reached a tentative agreement for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This tentative agreement will now be brought to the AAUP-UC Governing Board for approval. If the AAUP-UC Governing Board approves the agreement, it will be brought forward to the AAUP-UC dues paying membership for a ratification vote. An informational meeting will be held before any membership vote and a copy of the new contract will be distributed to the membership before this informational meeting. The timeline for ratification will be presented as soon as it is available.

Additionally, the Utica College administration will need to have the contract ratified by the Utica College Board of Trustees.

To allow for this process to be completed, the current CBA has been extended until October 24, 2016.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns about negotiations, or any workplace issue, please don’t hesitate to contact the AAUP-UC President, Paul J. MacArthur or any other member of the Governing Board.

Thank you for your continued support of the AAUP-UC!
